FIGURED MAHOGANY (Swietenia macrophylia)

• The presence of figure in a mahogany tree is unpredictable. You have seen numerous, high-quality, guitars made from the various figures a mahogany yields.

• Only a few mahogany trees have harvest-able figure of any kind.

• We purchase the tree segments with curly figure from harvesters doing legal cuttings to obtain our stock.

• The presence and intensity in any board will vary, but how beautiful is that figure!

• Even more rare is finding a tree that has quilted figure!  However, we can legally obtain that as it becomes available.
